In the Gardens is a nonprofit, with the mission of reaching out to underserved populations. We rely on your generosity to help us develop programming with its associated supplies for schools, rehabilitation centers, and other community organizations. Our internship program employs inner-city youth during the summer season and beyond, providing individuals with numerous skills, as well as training for their professional future. Donate Here
Do you like working in the garden? Are you interested in helping guide others in mindfulness practice? We welcome your help. Whether your passion is building, planting, maintaining, weeding, fertilizing, harvesting, or bringing produce to the food pantry, or learning to lead individuals and groups in mindfulness, your presence helps us build community while we do the important work of bringing more food to those in need.
In the Gardens holds frequent Volunteer Days; please come to one—or more—and learn about growing food as you help us plant and nurture this season’s garden. Refreshments will be provided!
Please let us know you’re coming at VolunteerSignup.org!
Come and bring a friend, stay as long as you want and bring home seeds and a planting guide from our garden.
If you have a willingness to dig in the soil and build garden beds and fencing, and you enjoy preparing and supplementing soil, we can use your skills and enthusiasm. And if you have a vehicle that can support supplies, all the better! No experience necessary, just a desire to help and learn.
