Welcome to In the Gardens!

Fruits, vegetables and herbs adorn our gardens for picking and eating.

Welcome to In the Gardens and our new blog. We have been awhile in the making. One year and one concussion later, we are finally launching our website and we are proud of it!

In our blog we will be musing (short posts, mostly!) on topics that relate to the earth and gardening, to mindfulness practice and mindful living, and to our interconnectedness – each of us to one another. It is our experience that working the earth helps to bring us together. Willing hands know no color, faith or ethnicity; they know the value of the work of the soil and the importance of feeding every hungry person. It is also our experience that when we focus on our breath and relax the myriad number of thoughts running through our heads (did you know that the average person has 50,000-70,000 thoughts run through his/her head each day? Yikes!), we find that when we encounter another person, we see his or her beauty and how this individual is just like us. Through both of these practices we build compassion and community, creating a safety that our world truly needs at this time.

Sign up for our blog and share the journey with us. And feel free to email us to learn more about our services.

May your day have some earth in it as well as a time to breathe deeply and fully.
